What is the best car seat for the Toyota Tacoma extended cab truck?

My husband has a Tacoma and we are looking to buy a second carseat, a rear facing/non carrier carseat, for his truck. Which has the smaller backseat. I currently have the Britax Diplomat in my car and love it but it seems to take up a lot of space in my car, so I’m not so sure it will work so great in his truck. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to what carseats to are best as far as safety and fit for such a small space.

Your best bet is to go to a store that will let you try out different floor models in the truck to see what fits with a proper install.
