that is a very normal healthy size for a baby, anything from 6-9 lbs is normal.

Yes, it’s normal.
From what I know, the average newborn is about 7lbs & 20 inches.
I gave birth to a 9lb 3oz, 22.5 inch baby boy last year. Now THAT is not normal!!
There is a wide "normal" range. This is definitely normal. My son was 22", and 10lbs, 5oz. I don’t think he was even in the range. And he’s still not. At 6 months, his length is still off the charts.
Birth weight depends on a lot of different things. So the "normal" birth weight is a large scale. That is a good birth weight and length, yes.
