what is the smallest infant car seat for rear passenger side?
Having trouble with my 2008 saturn vue. LATCH system is on the sides only so the seat is safest on the sides. I have a graco safeseat travel system now and I have to pull the front passenger seat all the way up to fit the infant seat in the back. It is not comfortable to have someone ride in the front passenger when the seat in in the back. I am looking for the smallest available. Please let me know if you have had this problem and what seat you ended up with.

The seat is actually safest in which ever location you can get the best install, which is less than 1inch of side to side movement at the belt path. LATCH is no safer than the seat belt. See where you get the best install. And depending on the age of the child and the amount of head control you can get a good convertible, like the Graco MyRide65, Cosco Scenera or the First Years True Fit and have it on less of a recline. Because convertibles can be on less of a recline they actually fit better than most infant carriers.
I know someone that has 2 True Fits in the back of her 1998 Honda Civic and they fit perfect!
