Britax carseats are sold in Canada but it appears only the Roundabout, marathon, and the parkway booster are available.
It is illegal to use any car seat in Canada that doesn’t have a Canadian safety certificate. It is possible that the Monarch either doesn’t meet Canadian standards, or Britax just hasn’t bothered to have it approved. If there isn’t an equivilent seat available in Canada (ie not for the same weight restriction) you apply to the Ministry of Transportation for permission to use a non-approved seat. This is often done for children with disabilities.
Your best bet is to call Britax directly and ask if the Monarch is certified for use in Canada. If it is your local Britax dealer should be able to order it in for you and you probably won’t have to pay shipping. 1-888-427-4829
