Why does my 3 week old cry everytime i put her in a baby carrier?

I have a three week old and every single time i place her in her baby carrier she just cries? is it just something thats going to take her getting used to kind of like it took her a few times to get used to taking a bath or could it be that the carrier is uncomfortable? After all shes the one in it i have no idea how it feel…but i need her to like it becasue i have to do things around the house and she crys all the time when i sit her down! HELP i need answers!

She probably feels abandoned every time you place her in the carrier. It will take her some time to get used to it. She probably doesn’t know yet that you are still close by her even when she’s in the carrier. It will help if you try to stay within her range of vision at first (although not always possible, especially when in the car).
Neither of my kids so far really ever liked the baby carrier…:)
Try something other then the carrier; maybe a swing or a bassinet. Usually at that age a baby only cries when they want something or they are uncomfortable. Also this is about the time that colic develops; where a baby cries for no reason; usually for a few hours a day. My oldest was colicky; until around 3 months old. It is difficult; especially when its your first child because you don’t know whats wrong and you want to be able to fix it but it will eventually pass..
We have a sling and a ‘Baby Bjorn’ carrier.
Sling: "What? No…don’t like. I said don’t like!" WAH!
Carrier: "Oh, about time." ZZZzzz
Perhaps your baby has the opposite temperament. Sell your carrier on Craigslist, and buy a sling?
because everytime she cries you pick her back up. try a bouncy chair or if she is content in her crib leave her there and invest in a baby monitor, they even sell ones with camera’s if you’re taking her around the house just so you can see her. I might also point out that by taking her everywhere in the house with you, that you could be setting yourself up to get followed around all the time when she gets older which is no longer cute when they’re still doing it at 8 yrs. old.
Also, the straps may be too tight or uncomfortable on her neck. They sell pads that velcro over the shoulder straps that may help with this.
